Bonehead move - Removed panel at bottom of screen

So, I pulled the ultimate bonehead move and killed the panel at the bottom of the screen - the one with the app launcher, the system tray, and where all your tasks show up. I was able to create a new panel to replace it, but I have been unable to get it to display the running tasks in the panel. The other thing that is missing is the virtual desktops widget. How do I go about getting these things working again?

    Thanks

Right-click on the Panel and Panel Options > Add Widgets...

    Task Manger

    Show Desktop

And don't feel bad, just about everyone who has used KDE has done that at one time or another ... sometimes, like me, more than once!

Cool, that was everything I needed except for one. I can't seem to find the widget that lets me select among the virtual desktops. Does anyone know where I can find that little goodie?

          Thanks for the help.

That would be the Pager widget.

              That was it, thanks.

I just needed to hover over a few more of the widgets to get the descriptions. It just never occurred to me that this would be the name of the widget that would do that job.

                  Just to round this off.......

When you are happy, right click on the desktop and select lock widgets, if you haven't already done so. That will prevent you accidentally removing things again.

Yes, that's a nice addition. That would have kept me from getting into this problem in the first place.

                    Thanks for the pointer.
