    Power does Not Recognize AC

    When I plug in the ac adapter the laptop will charge the battery and it shows that it is charing.

    However it does not recognize that the ac adaptor is plugged in.

    I have tried adding this:

    acpi_enforce_resource=lax
    to grub with no luck.

    My laptop is a Serval Professional aka Serp 5 from System76.

    Everything pretty much works by default with lucid even before adding their driver repo to the system. I would make me really happy to figure this out.

    Here is more info about my laptop from earlier posting during the alpha phase.

      You need to bring this problem to the attention of the vendor. System76 is all about Linux on PCs. They guarantee that Ubuntu will run perfectly on their PCs.

        I am currently but they work with gnome ubuntu... I am trying to taclke all variables in that it maybe a kde /kubuntu thing.

        Even though I booted a ubuntu live disc and as far as I could tell was the same thing though gnome is alien to me and could not tell. I found a battery manager and it only said battery charging/charged.

        Any Ideas?

          What exactly do you mean by this? Does, in fact, the battery get charged? What are you using to base your statement on?

            It will say

            Battery: charged or charging or %of charge (depending on the situation)
            AC adapter: Not plugged in (always says this)

              Not sure if I clearly conveyed it.... does that make sense?

                Yes. This is what my Battery Monitor shows:
