Before updating to Lucid, I ran Koala with KDE 4.2.2. There was a plasmoid one could use to switch activities without having to go thru all that silly zooming. In Lucid, I cannot find it. Nor can Google. Where is it?

Sure, and 2 minutes after my post, I find it mentioned on a page. It is one more question of having to know the correct terminology. It's called an "activity bar".

That's why there is a search filter in the add widget tool...you can find the activity bar applet with search terms like "activity", "activities" or "switch" (or with abbreviations of those)
