WICD can't obtain IP address... idk what is wrong with it. It works if I connect wired, and Wicd worked before the upgrade. Also, my friend's upgrade works with WICD mine doesnt.... anyone have any ideas why that might be?

this seems to have fixed it, it seems that the upgrade installed KNetworkManager over and it screwed everything up.
sudo apt-get purge network-manager
