I'm running off of a Kubuntu Live CD, what application would I use to backup the home folder so I can simply restore it and have all the system files included? What are the steps and settings that need to be used so the applications and settings will survive the restore on the new Lucid install?
I have an existing install of Ubuntu 9.10 and have installed so many KDE apps (I love Dolphin!) that it's time to make the switch. Also, I've installed several applications into the home folder (Thunderbird, Aptana IDE) and need them to work and have my e-mail files preserved.
Much thanks
