kubuntu inside windows upgrade settings will be lost?

Hello:

I have a old version of kubuntu installed on my computer..(It is 9.10) The installation method used was kubuntu inside windows. and it is working very good since then. My question is: If I type in a terminal window "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade", I am offered, after upgrading the version, the newest version of kubuntu (10.4). If I say yes and upgrade to the new version, what will be the new status of my "kubuntu inside windows installation"? Will it modify my grub in a way that it will be the same as doing a regular install of kubuntu? I want to mantain my kubuntu inside windows setting but with the kubuntu 10.4

It should be fine and work the same as before, but as I have never used Wubi, I am not 100% positive. I suggest backing up your data just in case - always a good idea anyway -

The Wubi developer didn't intend for it to be used in such a manner, however
