    kubuntu installer can't detect existing partitions

    Hello all!

    I have problem while trying to install Kubuntu 10.04. I have Windows 7 and MacOSX 10.5 installed and when I choose "Manual disk partition" in the installer, it scans disks and outputs only /dev/sda in the partition list. BTW I have GUID partition table but there were no problems with it before.
    fdisk lists all the partitions nicely, here is its output:

    WARNING: GPT (GUID Partition Table) detected on '/dev/sda'! The util fdisk doesn't support GPT. Use GNU Parted.

    Disk /dev/sda: 640.1 GB, 640135028736 bytes
    255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 77825 cylinders
    Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
    Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    Disk identifier: 0x696e86c5

    Download the GParted LiveCD and use it to prepare your HD for Kubuntu. Then use the Kubuntu LiveCD to install.
