Failed Wubi Upgrade - What do I do now?

Sooooo, I'm using Wubi. I tried this suggested method. The update got caught in a loop saying ( for about 4 hours ) that kernel 21 was already present. Then it couldn't get past errors about my Nvidia driver. When I rebooted, the gui was unrunnable. Sooooo, I tried dl'ing the disc and installing it that way. The disc cannot be seen in Windows XP, I get 'no disk' errors over and over. The disc boots fine and runs Live fine.
