I'm running host Windows XP and guest Kubuntu 10.04. I've installed Guest Additions and with some effort, it is now working fine.
My Windows taskbar is on the left side, and when I go into seamless mode, my KDE taskbar is on the bottom, which is good. When I load KDE apps or open the KDE taskbar and then minimize them again, a bit of the right of the window/popup still remains after it is minimized. Pressing F5 to refresh the Windows background makes the UI glitches go away.
My Windows resolution is 1600x900, 32bit, and the Kubuntu is scaling with the size of the window. Is there any way to resolve these glitches to have a clean looking desktop?
My computer is a Lenovo W510 with an NVIDIA Quadro FX 880M. I believe it is a driver issue but this is a company laptop and I cannot change any drivers without IT permission. Here is a screenshot:
