[SOLVED] no tty/consoles 1 through 6, no framebuffer?

I have nvidia binaries installed and have no virtual terminals This is my boot line

    Code:
    verbose acpi_enforce_resources=lax no_console_suspend nomodeset
I tacked no_console_suspend and nomodeset to try and figure it out but those options don't work in the way I hoped. When I boot up the machine, I have no spash and verbose is on so I see all the messages scroll by *but* when I am finally into the desktop and switch to the virtual terminals, there is nothing, no command prompt it's just blank

So it appears somehow my terminals are turning off when I get to the desktop. How do I get them to work?

Seems the acpi_enforce_resources=lax causes the framebuffer to disappear. I removed it.

So, that fixed your problem? If so, mark the thread solved. Thanks!

Re: Solved no tty/consoles 1 through 6, no framebuffer?

I could not find how to mark it as solved so in the meantime I just edited the topic title and added solved to it. Good policy.

That's exactly how you do it.
