Fn key mapped wrong? Always "on"

    Hi all,

I just got a new Dell laptop and the first thing I did was load Kubuntu Karmic. It seems that my Fn key is always "on" or that my keys are incorrectly mapped. For instance, when I press F4 by itself I lower the brightness (should be Fn + F4). Also Alt+F2 does nothing but Fn+Alt+F2 pops up KRunner as I wanted. F2 by itself disables my wireless according to lshal -m.

    Any thoughts?
