    10.04 LTS Hangs after logout

OK, I have two machines, a desktop & a Laptop both with the same issue:

When using the KDM in kubuntu to login, the system simply hangs with a black screen when I try to logout.
Only a reset of the PC will sort it out.

If I set the Manager to GDM, then it'll work, but of course, I cannot shut down direct from the KDE, I must log out THEN shut down.

I have tried the suggestion in this post:
    http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...2546#msg232546
    But it does not work.

It all worked perfectly on both machines on 9.10.
Any Ideas? It's driving me and the kids mad

    Cheers
    David

There's a little bit of information here: http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3111218.0

That problem seems to be related to video drivers, in most cases. It may or may not have anything to do with KDE desktop settings. I would advise a search at Ubuntu Forums as well as this one, in case it is a more generic video driver issue.
