I stupidly did not copy my 9.10 VM when I performed an upgrade. I did the upgrade, and now when I boot it up it gets to the splash screen and hangs.
I tried to escape to a console login, but the keyboard does not work.
I am about to just blow the VM away and build a new one from the ISO I am downloading now, but I wonder if there is any way I can fix what I have.

512 MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS video
VMWare Player 3.0.1 build-227600
