From the console (after you have logged in) type:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install plasma-desktop
    When it's installed, type:
    Code:
    sudo shutdown -r now
to reboot. See if that doesn't fix it for you.

when I try to sudo install
e: dpkg was iterrupted ,you must manually run 'suo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem

          That isn't helpful. :P

What is the exact message you get for the first command?

Do what you are being told - run:
              Code:
              sudo dpkg --configure -a

Does that mean you have a Desktop now?

                          The easy way:
Reinstall 9.10 from your live cd.

You will have to rename/delete all plasma related stuff in /home/username/.kde/share/config.
I would do that from the live cd.

If you dono't have a live cd get it here:
                          http://linux.softpedia.com/progDownl...oad-47614.html

Personally my 10.04 is much faster than my 9.10

I don't do upgrades, only fresh installs

As for flash, that depends on how you installed it on 9.10. I would suggest purging / reinstalling it.

If you could state your other issues I am sure someone here can help.
