I have 3 HDD's 1 kubuntu, 2 windows 7, and 3 just back up. I did a fresh install of Kub 10.4 on HDD1 while Win 7 was on #2. I usually do this because grub would set up a dual boot. So after install and restart I got hung on the Verifying DMI Pool Data. So after going through several solution to that problem and no results I tried to install kubuntu without the windows HDD installed and that worked.
I was wondering will the code below help? I don't want to try it just yet and muck something up. I'm so tired of reinstalling the OS, I reinstalled a few times while trying to fix the verifying DMI Pool Data problem. If you need anymore info please let me know.
Also another quick question is it safe to install the latest nvidia driver from their site or should I stick with the Activating Hardware driver via System---> Hardware driver? I remember reading people are having problems installing the drivers they get from nvidia and I'm so used to doing it that way.

Code:
