    Skype and Logitech Procam 9000

In 9.10 Skype and this camera worked some of the time. Not very well and often my microphone didn't work. I upgraded to 10.04 and now my microphone won't work at all. Video works much better than under 9.10. (Skype 2.1.0.81) Is this a pulse audio issue and should I just blow Pulseaudio away? It seems I've had Skype sound issues ever since Pulseaudio got installed.

    TIA

    I have the same problem.
    Solved for me:
    1. Install record utility - sudo aptitude install qarecord
    2. Try to record your voice - if works then just configure kmix

Open the Skype Main Menu and select Options. Click on Sound Devices and if the box "Allow Skype to automatically adjust my mixer levels" is checked. If it is, uncheck it. Fixed mine.
I am also using a Logitech Pro 9000.

        That worked, uncheck the box.
