Hi
I'll try to explain everything the best I can. About 4 months ago I bought a IOGEAR Print server. That is on a Canon MP830. My DHCP server was being run on a PF-SENSE Boxs at the time. Over my network. I have had the DHCP server give the printer server a specific address like 192.168.1.5 by the MAC address. and on Kubuntu I would add the printer by using that address, I would print over TCP/IP. I'm hoping this makes sense, But now I had to shut my PFSENSE boxs down cause it was over heating cause of the hot days and nights. Now I have a linksys router Thats doing all the work that is running DD-WRT. For some reason I can't assign the print server a specific IP address. Even thou I can find the IP address in the tables and add it to the setup for the printer I still can't get it to print. I tried configuring it for SAMBA and still nothing. I know samba works cause I use it for my file sharing. I also know that the print server works cause My XP and Windows 7 can print to it. I'm wondering if I have something configured wrong?? I never changed anything on the print server the settings are still the same. If there is something that you didnt understand please ask I'm trying the best I can thanks and hope some one can help. by the way printer works fine when its hooked directly to my computer.
Thanks for any help
