    SSH STOPPED WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I needed a better network protocol and after reading a thread earlier I decided to install NFS and I followed the guide found here: http://mostlylinux.wordpress.com/network/nfshowto/. Shortly after installing that I tried to use SFTP with filezilla to transfer files from my WinXP system to my Kubuntu system but it didn't work. So i tried to transfer them to my sidux system and that didn't work either. Then I tried to just ssh from my Kubuntu system to my sidux system and from the WinXP to both and nothing worked, I kept getting "Server refused connection" error messages. My guess is that there is something conflicting in some configuration files or something like that but I don't have any idea what to look for in the files. So does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? I would really like to keep both services if possible. Also, does anyone know of an easy way to network my Kubuntu machine to the WinXP one? Thanks! (Sorry if my writing is hard to understand, I have a problem stringing together coherent sentences lol)

    SSH:
    Just guessing, but:
    1. keys could have changed (delete appropriate file)
    2. server is not running (start sshd)
    3. firewall blocking (remove block)

    Network Kubuntu andWinXP:
Many people like to use Samba. I just keep it simple and use FTP everywhere I go. I guess I just got used to the command line and although I'm not a Windows user, I have tried it from a WinXP machine and it's native and quick.
