Sometime ago on a laptop I upgraded from Kubuntu 9.10 to 10.4 ,maintained the comms applet in the taskbar .....no problems. I am using that laptop right now being connected wireless
Yesterday I did exactly the same on my netbook eeePC901 after wireless comms worked well on 9.10
After upgrading to 10.4 there is no longer a comms applet in the taskbar(panel) and I can no longer connect wireless.
Yet in 'system settings' I can see the wireless SSID
Could someone please give me a hint how to regain the comms applet on the taskbar.
When the applet is there again I'll find my way .
TIA
Frank
