[solved using x11vnc] krfb & krdc

When running krdc on the host, the client is refused even if I set it up to accept uninvited connections (shows up on host tray as the ip of the guest client being refused and KRDC on the client not connecting (no pop up for password).

If I run x11vnc from the terminal on the host, access is granted immediately and I can see the host desktop from the guest client using KRDC.

I don't "mind" having to use x11vnc, as I am okay with using the terminal BUT what is up with krdc refusing connections? I am not sure what I am doing wrong

[solved] using x11vnc instead of KRFB on host.

KRDC works fine from the client end if x11vnc is running on the host. The handbook is more about KRDC and I did use that info on the client end.

I do have it working but not with KRFB. KRFB does not seem to work intuitively on the host and there really isn't much info about it from what I can find other than back in feisty days, there was a bug where it would refuse all connections. I wanted to use KRFB just because it is graphical and seemingly simple.

It is okay; I am using x11vnc now on the host and the client running KRDC can connect instantly while running that.
