    Samba and Vista

I have 3 computers on my tetwork. PC with Kubuntu 10.4 running Samba. PC with Vista Home Premium 64bit SP1,
and HP Laptop with Win2000 Service Pack 4 wireless.

All 3 computers can access the workgroup with NO problems transfering files between them.
If I sleep or reboot the Linux box, All 3 computers will retain connection to the workgroup.
If I re-boot the laptop, all 3 retain connection.
If I re-boot or sleep the Vista Machine, all 3 retain connection.
The problem arises when I re-boot or sleep the Vista computer and the laptop is turned off .... I loose connection to the workgroup on the Linux and Vista Computer. The only fix I have found that works is to take the Linux box off the router, Then after a while the Vista computer will sign onto the workgroup. I plug the Linux computer back into the router and both computers are back on line. Or I can just bring the Win2000 computer on line and everything is fine.
I have removed all security from the router with DMZ
I have disabled the firewall on Vista.
I have modified the Registry on the Vista computer ....
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Lsa\LMCompatibilityLevel
I set the value to 1
I have even upgraded to Samba4 and back again
I have used all the logical alterations available to me through Webmin.
None of these fixes have worked.

I'm sure there is a way to correct this connection problem ... I just need to find someone with a little expierence in networking to advise me.
Working...
