Hp un 2400 Mobile Broadband Module with compaq mini 733 EZ

Okay this is a tricky one.

Afriend had a few hundred trojans on his compaq mini and asked for help.

I tried cleaning his winxp but it was borked beyond repair so I decided to install Kubuntu LL.

All went well until I found out that he is using a broadband mobile connection for internet conecting with HP un2400 Mobile Broadband Module.
