    Strange Error but working

    I just installed 10.04 and on my Acer Emachines 525, the wireless seems to be working (I can surf) but when i run the command ifconfig, I get the following

    eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:26:22:24:32:b1
    UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
    RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
    TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
    collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
    RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)
    Interrupt:28

    lo Link encap:Local Loopback
    inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
    inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host
    UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
    RX packets:538 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
    TX packets:538 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
    collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
    RX bytes:18293 (18.2 KB) TX bytes:18293 (18.2 KB)

    wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 0c:60:76:2c:da:fb
    inet addr:192.168.1.2 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
    inet6 addr: fe80::e60:76ff:fe2c:dafb/64 Scope:Link
    UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
    RX packets:3717 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
    TX packets:2882 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
    collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
    RX bytes:1915980 (1.9 MB) TX bytes:556353 (556.3 KB)

    Since i used to have (previous versions) a lot of problems with the wireless, I was already surprised to see it working so easily, but what does these errors mean in the wlan for TX and RX packets?

    Huh?
    It says #packets transmitted=3717, no of errors=0

      read this as 3717 packets and 0 errors.

        Yup. What you are seeing is normal for reporting on the number of packets transmitted and the number of errors on those transmissions. Having no transmission errors is a 'good' thing.

            Don't. You learned something, and that too, is a good thing.
