BEWARE! Suspend to RAM disables network management
Re: BEWARE! Suspend to RAM disables network management
That's a shame - it didn't seem to work for me although I suspect there are other things going on, as on resume from sleep (although not hibernate) the cursor can move but the entire system is otherwise frozen and it's a REISUB out of there with a restart of network manager. OTOH hibernating is (and never was) a problem. Very strange
Re: BEWARE! Suspend to RAM disables network management
Excellent fix.
My batteries didn't last as long as I thought during an update and the laptop went to sleep.
On rebooting of course there was no wireless network and after head-scratching and poking about for a while, I had a look here. (fortunately I also had a wired machine up & running )
Well, that was a good move - manual fix found and script implemented within 5 minutes!
Many thanks to the contributors.
Re: BEWARE! Suspend to RAM disables network management
OK, I am having this issue and I tried the command line stuff that was listed here, but I get the erro that no such file or directory exists when I run the rm command in terminal..... any ideas?

Did it to me too. >
The sad part is I had to log onto Windows to come find the answer online.
Kubuntu really, REALLY, needs to have a User Guide and a troubleshooting guide installed by default.
