after my setup got a little old it was time for some new hardware. so I bought a
GA-870A-UD3 with an Athlon II X2 and a Radeon HD-4650 (since I don't need 3D and I don't play games I though a decent 'older' card will do the job just as well). Still used are my two IDE HDDs (one OS, the other /home) and a Delta Audiophile sound card.
So I put everything together, install 10.04 (64bit, by the way) fresh while keeping the old home folder. What can I say? No trouble at all - in fact, it couldn't have been easier!
