    NVidia driver no longer works

After upgrading from 9.10 to 10.04, NVidia proprietary driver no longer works. Tried to activate it with jockey without success. Tried manual install (apt-get install nvidia-xxx) - no success either. Disabling nouveau does not help either.

    System: kubuntu 10.04
    Hardware: Zotac 8400GS GEN2 512MB 64BIT DDR2 (NVidia 8400 GS chipset)

Re: NVidia driver no longer works

Please do not post replies here - I found the solution here. I had to use solution #3, as 1 and 2 did not work. In addition, I had to force update of my kernel from 2.6.31 to 2.6.32, as the sources for 2.6.31 were not available. Now I have the latest official driver build and it runs better than with 9.10.
