    (solved)wireless card, failed install.

    well im new to kubuntu and dont know much on how it works yet.
    well i started to install my wireless card drivers and the laptop had to br restarted cos it froze on me.
    and now when i try to reinstall the wireless card drivers its says
    "Sorry, installation of this driver failed. Please have a look at the log file for details: /var/log/jockey.log"
    but it only failed cos i had to restart. is there a way to start the install agen at all?
    and it was installing broadcom STA wireless drivers.

    Would you post the output of
    Code:
    lspci
    and the contents of the log file in /var/log/jockey.log? Also, were you trying to install the drivers from "Hardware Drivers" under "Applications"--->"System" or from another source?

        Hi....

        Thank you for posting the results. When you brought up "Hardware Drivers," were there two options for Broadcom wireless drivers, by any chance? I've recently installed drivers for a Broadcom wireless chipset from the same program and if I remember correctly there were the STA drivers and another set, either proprietary or open source, I can't remember which. The one I installed was the one that didn't say "STA," and they installed fine, although I didn't test it on my network.

          well it was installing fine, till i had to restart to computer half way in to it cos off it crashing
          all i need to know is how to restart the install.
          as i tryed doing it agen the same way but it will not let me.
