So, I installed updated alsa-base and alsa-utils to 1.0.23 from the ppa -ricotz repository. Synaptic shows the 1.0.23 version installed but when I do a
cat /proc/asound/version
I get
Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.21.
Clearly i haven't changed the running
driver which means I'm missing something. I seem to remember seeing a post somewhere about this but I can't find it. Any suggestions?
Btw I'm running Kubuntu Lucid
