intel graphic driver problems

    intel graphic driver problems

    I cannot get openGL to work.
    My chipset is : intel 82852/855GM

    My xorg.conf file:

    Section "Device"
    Identifier "Configured Video Device"
    Driver "vesa"
    EndSection

    Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "Configured Monitor"
    EndSection

    Section "Screen"
    Identifier "Default Screen"
    Monitor "Configured Monitor"

    I have tried to change the vesa value to intel. The computer freezes after kubuntu's logo..
    The driver is installed.

    I have attached a file that describes my hardware/system.

      That causes the system to freeze on the kubuntu logo.

        What does your log file show? /var/log/Xorg.0.log

            Yes you did - sorry - Nothing stnads out there. I assume you've installed the intel driver? Have you tried this cutting edge version:

              Yes, as i mentioned . The xserver-xorg-video-intel package is installed.
              Version is 2:2.9.1

              No, i havent tried that one.
