Sound problems

Okay i have the acer aspire one netbook, with Kubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx netbook version installed. When i go to a site, like youtube, no sound plays. I know my speakers work, via the start-up sound, and i have tried to increase the audio on the video and the audio on the system, but i have zero sound on video play back. Can some one help me out, this is rather annoying....? :\

It might be only flash, or it might be a larger problem. First review #9 on the FAQs link in my signature, and follow the guidance to add Medibuntu and the non-free codecs. If that doesn't work, better go through #6 and make sure the rest of your audio system is working.

Just to make sure, did you click on "Mixer" and make sure the ''PCM" slider was turned all the way up?
