configuring Texas instruments PCI 1620 to recognize SD cards

Hi all:
I've been trying to find info on how to configure the Texas instruments PCI 1620 card reader so that SD cards (among others) I've found some info but it's for older distributions.

Any advice or links on how to go about configuing the card reader?
