    External Monitor Support

Since upgrading to 10.04, I have lost the ability to press Fn+F8 on my keyboard and send output through the VGA port. I did this once before the upgrade and it worked perfectly. Pressing those keys now does nothing but send a lower case "p" to a shell window if it has keyboard focus. I'm on a Dell Latitude E6500. It has an Nvidia card with driver version 195.36.15. Hardware Drivers reports that this driver is tested by Ubuntu developers and is the recommended driver. Can anyone help me resolve this issue or point me to a solution?

    TIA...

    Re: External Monitor Support

I was able to get this working by using "nvidia-settings". I had tried that before, but tinkered with it yesterday and had success. I was not configuring the the external monitor correctly. The Fn+F8 key used to work but no longer does. Maybe that support return in later fixes and/or releases.

    Thanks...
