Running Kubuntu10.4 on HP G60-530US
Upgraded from 9.10 by doing a semi clean install (ie formatted root but kept home)
On first install I could get sound out of the internal speakers but not external speakers/headphones
After a reboot I got sound out of both but could not mute the internal speakers when using headphones
Neither Skype or Audacity work with the internal microphone.
the Mixer control initially showed a master channel, 2 microphones and a IEC958 with mute but no level. After the reboot a PCM channel showed up (nowhere to be seen before) and there are now no other channels to choose from.
Alsamixer also shows a digital channel - the level of this has no effect on either problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks
