    Serrious Audio Problems

I was hoping this would be fixed for the final release, but it's not.

Audio playback skips in Amarok and Dragon Player and VLC and Flash have no sound at all. Amarok and Dragon sometimes work, but flash and VLC never do.

Any ideas how to fix this? I can give you more info if you tell me what I need to d

here is the complete output from lspci

    Re: Serrious Audio Problems

Have you visited K Menu>System Settings>Multimedia and "preferred" in every category your sound card?

Have you visited KMix and added every possible channel to the layout and moved them up and down to see if you get sound?

And can you clarify please on what you mean by "audio playback skips in Amarok and VLC"?

Maybe your issue will be simple (adjusting the above)!

      Re: Serrious Audio Problems

yep. I already tried all that.

By skipping I mean that. It sounds like a cd skipping. Sometimes it happens right away (I boot up, load an mp3 and it skips) Sometimes it never does it no matter how long I use my computer. Sometimes I'm listening to a song and it just suddenly starts skipping in the middle of it. So it has to be something with how the audio drivers are interacting with my sound card. But I don't know why it's so random.

Audio for flash never works however. Flash works fine (in that it shows movies, games, etc) but no sound.

regarding the skipping issue, have you verified that it's not the fault of your sound card itself?
