    Amarok not loading library

    I open up Amarok>settings>configure amarok>collection
In collection I go to media and to my Terrabyte Drive (NTFS, and a different hard drive than what my kubuntu install is on) and I select the folder that has all my MP3's in it.
I can not get it to use that folder as my local collection/library. What am I doing wrong? I thought at first maybe mp3 codecs were not working so I manually installed them from medibuntu.
I think I found a bug for this, but I am not sure. I posted a bug report as well, anyone else getting this error. I can add large chunks of music into sort of a playlist by going to
Amarok>play media and then select the folder. It loads everything on the right hand side as opposed to the left. Is it supposed to do that?

I mount them right after boot manually through dolphin. Apparently there is a bug that causes Amarok to crash if you are moving more than 12GB into the library at a time. I tried using rhythmbox, but it froze.

I never noticed that bug in Amarok this morning, that said it was only re-scanning my folders, I have 337Gb of Music and although it takes a while to start Amarok, it hasn't failed yet, unlike Windows Media Player.

Is there anyway you can feed only some of your files to Amarok? I have my folders structured thus...

        \Music\A\Artist A - Album\Files

Also I reformatted my 1TB to Fat32 so my PS3 could read it too.

          Re: Amarok not loading library

Amarok wasn't even displaying a collection made up of a single artist folder. It did spend some time (re-)scanning the collection, but nothing showed up. I could add the files to the playlist manually through the built-in filesystem browser, and Amarok could play them -- but no collection.

So I cleaned out the collection files and mysqle directory in ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok (probably more than necessary) and it was back to normal.
