No prism54-wlan chipset support in lucid

Hi,

I just installed lucid beta 1. In previous releases this chipset was supported out of the box. Not in this (beta) release. iwconfig shows me no wireless extensions.

My questions:
- Am I doing something wrong?
- How can I get my wlan working?
- Will this chipset be finally supported in the final release?

Do you need to install firmware for it -- did you have to do that in 9.10?

I didn't have to install anything in the past releases. That's why I'm puzzled.

Like it said in one of the pages you googled (http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/p54), the p54 should be included in the Linux kernel.

But dibl's second link shows:

prism54 (supported devices)
Supports PC Card and Mini PCI devices with an ISL3887, ISL3880 or ISL3890 chipset.
Included in mainline kernels from 2.6.5.
Disabled in Debian 2.6.24 and later kernels.

aren't the 9.10 kernels something like 2.6.30 - 2.6.31? And my wlan worked then.

Whatever is causing this (kernel, etc.), its not making me happy.
