Somewhat of a newbie, here, but I can follow instructions well.
A while back I installed 9.10 (desktop edition) on a Dell Latitude 2100 netbook and was pretty successful. I just had a small problem with the touchscreen, but was able to get it working and calibrated following instructions here:

I just put 10.04 netbook edition on this machine. Again, everything's working well except for the touchscreen.
Following those instructions (substituting KDM for GDM), I can get everything installed. The calibration utility works just fine, and responds to pressing on the targets. So, the screen works.
However, the screen doesn't respond at all outside of the utility.
Am I missing something? Anything I can check?
