I just installed Lucid on my amd machine I cant get a gui just a terminal screen I can update via command promt but cant get any gui screen my video card is a ati 1600 and i INSTALLED LUCID I386 any ideas

If you try to start the KDE (> Guide to X11/Starting Sessions) with the command:
Is the KDE starting or do you get error messages ?Code:startx
Is your Xorg log clean ?
Xorg.0.log error messges:
Code:grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Hi Rog yes it says no xorg log installed I have ubuntu lucid on my second hard drive it works fine I cant understand why kubuntu has no screen I figure its an xorg problem I am going to do a 86/64 upgrade install and see what happensComment
