    [SOLVED]Digikam doesn't display my images.

Installed Digikam 1.1.0 a couple weeks ago and got around to using it today... or at least I tried to. When I opened it up the existing images wouldn't show. Digikam knows they are there because when I try to upload some of them again I am asked if I want to replace the existing ones.

It's a known bug, but until the patch comes out digikam is a brick, unless someone knows of a work-around.

Can you go back to 1.0.0?

Here the digiKam seems to work without problems.

Have you tried to rename/move/remove the digiKam database files ?

      - digikam4.db
      - thumbnails-digikam.db

Or do you have the rights to them ?

If i rename/move/remove the database files the digiKam will ask to set the album and database locations again.

Thanks, Rog, removing the *.db files caused DigiKam to ask for the location of my images and now it shows them.

I was misled by an error msgs stating that DigiKam wasn't able to open kio_slaves, which is a known bug. I even went into the settings, deleted the existing pointers to the location of my images and re-entered it, but to no avail.
