I was taught there are no stupid questions, so here goes:
Is it a problem that I can't get the lucid live cd to fit on a cd? the 64 bit version is 725mb, and the 32 bit is 716mb - and K3B won't allow me to burn either of them to a 700mb cd - it keeps saying "please insert empty medium" even when I have a blank cd in there. . I have lots of cd's, and I don't really want to burn a dvd, so I'm just wondering if there is a way to get it to fit on a cd.
I did make a live-usb, which is nice, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has the same problem burning a CD.
And the clock question is just based on a minor annoyance. Every time I boot a live cd - or usb - the hardware clock gets set to UTC, and the next boot of any OS is always still at UTC. I do so hate having to reset the clock every time I boot from the livecd to an installed version, so I was wondering if there is a command to turn off the clock adjustment when booting a live cd?
I have all my regular installs set to localtime on the hwclock, and for some reason the livecd's always end up at UTC.
thanks,
