[solved] After upgrade grub can't boot windows

After upgrade grub to 1.98 20100128 i could not boot to kubuntu because grub hangs, so I reinstalled grub using livecd. Now I can boot to Kubuntu but can't to Windows, when select Widows grub display only
    Code:
     GRUB_
I have tried to fix this with a windows recovery console and fixboot , fixmbr but after reboot i have message
    Code:
     ntldr is missing
I have 2 disks , one with Kubuntu and one with windows. Is there way to fix this ?

    My grub.cfg

Re: After upgrade grub can't boot windows

This looks like an unusual configuration. Did you ever have your hard drives reversed? I'm not quite sure what to make of the sda partitions:

    File system: ext4
    Boot sector type: Fat16

Do you remember how you installed ubuntu?

Hmm... for some time i had windows on this 160 GB disk, but I bought 250 GB disk and copy my windows to this larger. Some time later i installed Kubuntu on this 160 GB disk and everything works fine for long time until last grub update :|

During upgrade i marked both disk to install grub i think that cause this problem.

Read this document about GRUB2 (and don't confuse it with GRUB).

If you think GRUB2 is a step backward in boot management then you are not alone. Meanwhile, we work with what we have.

Re: After upgrade grub can't boot windows

Ok I fixed this problem. I physically disconnected a hard drive with kubuntu (160GB) and then used a windows recovery console and "fixbot" , "fixmbr". After that windows starting without problem. Next I connected hard drive with Kubuntu, grub started from disk 160 GB and now both Kubuntu and Windows are booting.
